O Christmas Tree!

We got our Christmas Tree on December 1st - which is very early for us! Normally we would go about the 2nd week or weekend, but we decided that since we will be gone for 5 days in the middle of the month - we should get it early so we can enjoy it longer!

And waalaaaa! This is the tallest tree we've ever had, probably about 8 feet. We haven't really had any problems with Kaydin and the tree. He's more attracted to the lights than anything, although he did pull a candy cane off once. He just walks around and doesn't really pay much attention to it which is awesome! We had horrible visions of having to barricade the tree with chairs to keep him away from it. Not this year! Not so far anyway. . . .


After going to an actual Christmas tree farm and not really liking what they had, we went with a beautiful Douglas Fir(there's a first time for everything!) from Lowe's. Now we don't normally like the douglas fir trees, but we decided to try something new this year. And we all love it!! Shopping for our tree this year brought back so many memories of last year. Me being about to pop just days from my due date out at 8 o'clock at night trying to find a tree with Michael and my mom. And now this year I'm carrying around a 30lb. almost 1 year old! What a difference a year makes!!
