Poof! There it is!

Well my last post was titled “A bit of Progress”.  This one should be called a LOT of progress! Since last sunday(so less than 1 week) they have gone from having the foundation all framed(this was taken last sunday):

 

to pouring the concrete foundation(caught in action on Wednesday): 

 

Here is the foundation all finished and already dry on Thursday:

 

and to our great surprise - having all the walls and roof up on Friday!

They have seemed to be moving along quite quickly which we think is awesome! It’s looking really good from the outside. They got the concrete poured and dry just in time-it’s been raining all day today(Saturday). We can’t wait to see what progress is made this coming week! Hopefully the icky rain will stay away!

 

I know the progress on our house is only part of the reason everyone reads this blog – so here are some pictures of the main reason you read this!!

This picture is one of my favorites for many reasons. First of all, my wonderful observant son is trying to put his sippy cup in the water dispenser of the refrigerator(just like we do).  The other reason is the slinky . . . . did you notice the slinky around his back and both of his arms through either end of it??? This was the funniest thing ever because he got himself tangled in the slinky and walked around for the longest time with it like this! Here is a little better view: 

Am I the only one who thinks this is hilarious??? Probably cuz he’s my kid.  But that’s ok – I think I’ll keep him.   :)
