Time to move in

 

Gotcha!! Not yet, but at this rate it won’t be long! These workers have building our house down to a science. And we are very thankful for that :) 

There has been so much progress since my last post. Heck just in the past 4 days!

This first picture was on Sunday the 31st, all of us went over to check out the house. It had rained the day before so everything was super muddy(love the GA clay) and wet.

Kaydin had fun trying to get into the water, and we had fun trying to keep him out of it! He ended up falling on his belly right in the middle of that big puddle. He wasn’t happy! 

 

Monday – the day after Kaydin decided to slip&slide through the big puddle, they finished framing the front bedroom AND put all of the windows in!

We were really glad to see this progress – it is looking like a real house!(minus the garage door) It still wasn’t fully waterproofed yet, but very close!

 

Today, Wednesday, was a beautiful sunny day – so we were really hoping they would be able to get a lot done. And boy did they! Michael had the day off so we went to check out the action.   ~ The workers probably think we are crazy since we are there almost every day! ~

The vinyl siding was almost all up, they were working on the roof(the entire backside of the roof was shingled), the AC unit had been installed in the attic, the front and back doors were in place, and they were still working hard!

We also went in to talk to Johnny(the builder’s rep) about having the guys install a 2nd pull down staircase (this one in the garage) for more attic space. He said it shouldn’t be a problem and that they have done the same thing in similar models.  We are so excited about this!

Well, the forecast is calling for rain tomorrow night. Hopefully with all of this done on the outside, they can move to the inside and still get some things accomplished in there. We shall see!
