Kaydin recently started school! Many of the local churches here in town have Mother’s Morning Out and preschool programs for young children. Unfortunately the church we attend does not have any of these programs, but I found another church that seemed to have a good set up. Last February Kaydin started going to their MMO 3 days a week from 9-12. It was kind of like a mini day-care, with kids from 6months up to 3yrs. It was not structured except for snack time, but it gave him the chance to play and interact with other kids(without my presence). He seemed to really enjoy it!
So we decided to enroll him in the 2 year old program which began in August. It’s still 3 days a week, and it is a more structured program where they do activities and crafts and learn shapes and colors and songs. Since Kaydin inherited a little(lot) of his daddy’s ADD, I think he’s doing much better in this class. He really enjoys the activities and loves playing with the other kids.
We were in California when his school started, so Kaydin missed the first 4 days of school. Before we left, we got to go meet his teacher Miss Lynn and see his classroom.
