Earlier this month Kaydin and I travelled back to California for a visit and baby shower!
He was so excited to:
1. Go on the road with all the big trucks(fwy/interstate)
2. See airplanes at the airport
3. Go on an airplane!
4. See Grandma and Grandpa

A flight attendant gave him a bag of pretzels when we boarded – then he was a happy camper :)
This was the first time flying without having to lug a car seat along. He was a big boy and sat in the regular seat. SOOOO much easier for me!

Now to relax and watch some shows
We had a direct flight – took off at 7pm….not having taken a nap that day, he lasted until about 10:30pm our time before finally falling asleep. So in true Kaydin fashion he was asleep when we landed – he’s never been awake for a landing!
There was a lot of fun new things to do at Grandma’s house!
Dominoes were definitely his favorite – pretty sure he got everyone that stopped by to line dominoes up with him =)
Grandma wanted the backyard watered so she gave Kaydin the hose and let him go wild!

Kaydin had a huge melt down when we went to lunch one day, so Grandpa took him outside. After a little while, I looked out the window to see what they were doing and this is what I saw. Sitting in the grass watching cars and trucks go by.
Then it was baby shower day!
Our fruit-bowl baby! Special thanks to the sculptors and creators: Aunt Cindy Mom and Dad – it was definitely a team effort but she turned out amazing!

It was a bit chilly even for Uncle Kyle! hahaha
me: “Kaydin are you cold?”
him: “No I’m not cold”

We went to 2 different parks to play while we were there.

Our time in Cali went by really fast. The first couple days we were getting ready for the shower, and the last few we relaxed and recuperated from the shower. It was nice not to be on the go,go,go like most of our visits though. While there I did have InNOut, El Pollo Loco, and a real slurpy from 7Eleven so I was happy =)
Soon it was time to head home – Back to the airport!
His favorite thing – watching airplanes out the window.
Watching all the trucks outside. Our flight left at noon so I packed both of us a sandwich and crackers/chips. It was a good thing because he’d eaten most of his cheese puffs before we even took off!
He did really good on the way home. He ate all of his sandwich, watched a couple of his shows, played on my phone, and then we watched the little airplane on the map that showed we were almost there. Best part was he was awake when we landed – finally!
We had a really great time on our trip – definitely short but very sweet!
